Rats Nest Parlor opened in the summer of 2019. The Nest is located in the heart of Burbank on Magnolia Blvd. The sylists at Rats Nest specializes in (what kind of color do they use?) color, cuts and community. The Burbank community helped build the salon from the ground up and we pride ourselves on giving back to our neighbhors who welcomed us so many years ago. All are welcome in the salon. Claire Criswell
Claire Criswell the owner of Rats Nest Parlor is a certified stylist of 17 years. She specializes in blondes and creative color, but she loves to do hair of all kinds. She is here to make you feel your absolute best, and wants everyone to be free to express themselves with their hairstyle. When Claire isn’t styling hair you can find the California native at a good restaurant, singing to country music or at home with her beloved cats.

Natalie Rosie
Natalie is a licensed hair stylist with over 12 years of experience, beginning in high-end salons in Pasadena and Beverly Hills. She has worked on short films, fashion shows, music videos, and editorial projects. Now, she’s dedicated to her salon clients, excelling in color correction, full makeovers, low-maintenance lived-in color, highlights, balayage, and more. Natalie’s expertise ranges from natural tones to fantasy colors, and she enjoys creating challenging platinum looks on various hair types, from pixies to long layered locks.
Laurie Jones
Runway/Red Carpet Hair Stylist
Laurie brings with her a diverse beauty industry background. She has worked in New York, Boston, San Francisco and LA developing her craft in salons, for the runway and the red carpet. Laurie specializes in creating lived-in luxe hair for her wide range of clients. Laurie excels in varied cutting techniques including textured and dry cuts. During color services, keeping hair healthy while adding body and depth to gorgeous sun kissed blonde are her constant goals.
Renee Vancans
Certified Hair Stylist
Renee Vancans is a certified stylist with 19 years of experience. In addition to her role as a wife and mother of two, she maintains a limited schedule at the salon, available by appointment only once or twice a month. Outside of her salon commitments, she works as a real estate agent alongside her husband.
